It's time for you to get started! Your teacher will give you the date that the project is due. It's best to follow the simple steps below to work through it:

Brainstorm: Get ideas from your parents, relatives, and friends. Think about places you've visited, and the American icons that symbolize your country. Make a list of possible icons, and then narrow it down to the three you'll write about.
Research: 1) Go to your local library, and 2) ask your teacher or parents to assist you with Internet research.
Visual Aids: Gather your supplies, plan and create the artwork or photographs you'd like to use for this project.
Organize: Gather your notes and organize them on note cards, in an outline, or graphic organizer to keep track of what you're doing.
Rough Draft: Start writing. Tell why you selected the cultural icons you chose. Include facts about each one. Reread the information. Check your grammar, punctuation, and content.
Create your final project presentation. Have fun!
