Anna and Alice share a rectangle bedroom that is 18 feet long and 14 feet wide. they split the room into two halves by placing a piece of tape from the northwest corner of the room to the southeast corner of the room. what is the area of each girls half of the room?

The area of the whole room = 14 × 18 = 252

Since they divide it by half, divide the are by 2.

252 ÷ 2 = 126

Answer = 126 ft²
