(I NEED IT ANSWERED NOW) The length of a rectangle is x + 6. The width of the rectangle is 3x + 4. Which expression represents the perimeter of the rectangle?

A 4x+104x+10

B 4x2+104x2+10

C 8x+208x+20

D 8x2+108x2+10

Respuesta :

The perimeter is found by adding all the sides together.  You have 2 lengths and 2 widths, therefore, the perimeter is P = 2l + 2w.  2(x+6)= 2x+12 and 2(3x+4)= 6x + 8.  So your perimeter is 2x + 6x + 12 + 8, which simplifies to 8x+20.  I think it's supposed to be c and you mistyped the choice.
