- Bitter flavour: This can be detected by the bitter taste receptors located at the back of the tongue.
- Salty flavour: This can be detected by the salty taste receptors located at the sides of the tongue.
- Sour flavour: This can be detected by the sour taste receptors located at the sides of the tongue.
