Pretty much Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson went head to head and half of the people liked Jefferson’s point of view and the other half likes Hamilton’s point of view

The Election of 1828 featured a rematch between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. Adams represented a strong central government and Jackson favored the people and states rights. Jackson became known as the People's president and favored democratic principles and ideals. Jackson defeated Adams
