Can you check my work please :)

I picked two coordinates, (5,1) and (0,-3) and i plugged them into the slope formula.

Y2-Y1/X2-X1

(5,1) 5 = X1 and 1 is = Y1

(0,-3) 0 =X2 and -3 is =Y2

When i plugged in the values, i got

-4/-5 = 0.8

slope is 0.8.

Tbh it looks wrong but I don't know.

Can you check my work please I picked two coordinates 51 and 03 and i plugged them into the slope formula Y2Y1X2X1 51 5 X1 and 1 is Y1 03 0 X2 and 3 is Y2 When class=

Answer:

Your calculation is correct. The slope is indeed coming as 0.8

[tex]\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{5}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{1})\qquad (\stackrel{x_2}{0}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{-2}) \\\\\\ slope = m\implies \cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{-2-1}{0-5}\implies \cfrac{-3}{-5}\implies \cfrac{3}{5}[/tex]
