  • Under the circumstances Thoreau describes, it is most definetly consider a duty as he says to disobey the law. In this case to disobey would be saying no to paying taxes that support a war.
  • Any act that can cause prejudice or can harm others must be disobey. For instance to be against the construiction of the wall in the border with Mexico.
  • Thoreau´s essay was wrote under the influence of the Mexican American War. He was against it, and he was against slavery too. The essay was published in 1849. This essay speak to our times, because of all the unfariness taking place.

Thoreau wrote against social injustice, sometimes law is not always in the right sight of the people. Civil disobidience is an act of consiousness when something unfair is happening. He was against paying taxes that would support the war against Mexico.

Civil disobedience has been neccesary along history, whenever authoritarim, war, and any other social injustice has taken place. Society must be aware and attentive to this in order to responde to it.

Thoreau´s essary speaks to our times even though it happened years ago. The world is still fighting one and other, and ir requires civil disobiedence. Such as being against of the exploting of natual areas, paying taxes for war, etc.
