Answer: I think the answer is D, correct me if I am wrong

Explanation: The reason I say this is because I have never read the book myself but from the excerpt and the circumstances and him saying that the tribesmen obey him, it sounds that he is powerful as a leader of these tribesmen. My other option was C but that would mean he would be loyal to someone, not have people be loyal to him.
