i believe its false because just cause it has the same symptoms doesn't mean its the same thing. they should contact their doctor to see if they can get something else cause you shouldn't use the leftover ones.
You should not reuse leftover medications especially without consulting a doctor because it might not be the right amount or dosage and cold lead to addiction.
