Answer:
I used to hate fractions.
So, first we have to convert the mixed fraction(with the number in front of the fraction) into a fraction without a number in front of it.
To do that we would need to 'insert' it into the numerator and then multiply it by the denominator:
[tex]5\frac{3}{5} =\frac{5*5+3}{5} =\frac{28}{5}[/tex]
See? Kind of easy.
Let's do it for the second one!
[tex]8\frac{2}{3}=\frac{8*3+2}{3} =\frac{26}{3}[/tex]
There could be a better way, but I forget if there is one. (I'm used to using a calculator and decimals).
So, let's multiply!
[tex]\frac{28}{5} *\frac{26}{3} =\frac{28*26}{5*3}=\frac{728}{15}[/tex]
Can't be simplified more.
Hope this helps!
P.S. Stay Safe!
FYI the answer is 728/15
