  • implementation of the Rice Action Program (RAP), and,
  • implementation of Corn Production Enhancement Program (CPEP)

President Maria Corazon was president from 1986 to 1992 and under her, agriculture was greatly encouraged and improved in leaps and bounds.

As a result of the LEAD, farmers got better financing and the RAP ensured that Philippines produced so much rice that they began to export it.
