11. Kelsey's garden on her farm was originally 20 feet long and 4 feet wide. She added
an addition onto her garden that was 12 feet long and 6 feet wide. If she wants to
use 100 square feet of the gardens total area to plant vegetables and the rest of the
area to plant fruits, how much space of the garden will the fruit plants take up?

So, the original space of her garden was 20ftl + 4ftw. This makes her garden have a starting area of 80ft.

She then adds another 72ft (12ftl x 6ftw) which brings the total area to 152ft.

We have 152ft to work with here, if she wants to use 100 of those ft for vegetables, and the rest to plant fruits, we have to subtract 100 from 152 which gives us 52.

Answer:

The Fruits will take up 52ft of land.
