Use the slope formula to calculate the slope of the line that contains the two points (-4, 0) and (5, 2).

Respuesta :

If the slope formula is [tex] \frac{ y_{1}- y_{2} }{ x_{1}- x_{2} }[/tex] all you have to do is plug in the points:

[tex] \frac{0-2}{-4 -5} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{-2}{-9} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{2}{9} [/tex]

or

[tex] \frac{2-0}{5-(-4)} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{2}{9} [/tex]

Either way your slope is going to be [tex] \frac{2}{9} [/tex]
