So this is a variation problem,

Area of the lawn mowed is directly proportional to the time of mowing

A = aT

48 = a12

Solve the proportionality constant

A = 4

 

So the equation is

Y = 4x

 

And time it takes 52% to mown

 

T = 52/4 = 13 min

 

Total 12 + 13 = 15 min
