Are you supposed to multiply these? If so your answer would be (5x*x^2) + (5x*-x) + (5x*-7). This comes out to 5x^3 - 5x^2 - 35x. Hope this helps!
(5x)(x^2 - x - 7)
5x^3 - 5x^2 -35x
Just use the distributive property to distribute the 5x. When you multiply variables with exponents, you add so 5x * x^2 = 5x^(2+1 ). Remember that variables written without exponents like x, are raised to the first power.
