hiram raises earthworms. in a square of compost 4 ft by 4 ft, he can have 1000 earthworms. How many can he have if his square of compost has a side length that is 7 times longer

Respuesta :

7,000
Hope this helps

I think it is actually 5,000. Because the compost's area is 16 feet and in that 16 feet, Hiram can fit 1000 worms. So that is 1000/16. If he enlarged the compost, it would by 20 ft by 4 ft and the area would be 80. The fraction would be x/80. Cross multiply to get 80000/16, which equals 5000.
