"We buy gallons of gas, but liters of soda. We drive for miles but run the 400-meter dash. Discuss how or why this is true in our country."

I know that we buy gallons of gas but liters of soda because our vehicles need more gas than our bodies "need" soda, but I need help with the second part. :)

Thank you

We drive for miles because the car is a machine with very small limitations and it takes in more substance that helps them go farther than us. We run the 400-meter dash because we didn't take in as much substance for us to have the energy and also we have more limitations than a car.

I hope that helps!
