Looking up "military" has no direct relation to her search on the service of African American soldiers, neither does making a list of facts or constructing a chronology. The most logical answer would be doing a search on the Internet for Civil War military units. To my knowledge, there were specific African American units that served during the Civil War time period for example, the 5th Regiment Colored Volunteer Cavalry.
