Mrs. Humphries has a small garden. She planted tomatoes, zucchini, onion, garlic, and beans (legumes). When summer is over and she harvested her crops, why did Mrs. Humphries pull out all of the plants except the beans? Those she tilled (mixed) back into the soil for next year’s crops. Be sure to explain your answer providing a specific reason.

Respuesta :

Hagrid
Mrs. Humphries did not pull the beans out together with the other crops because it is not yet ready for harvesting or rather, it is not fully matured yet. Beans usually take 50-60 days to grow and sprout into seedlings. The variety of beans also affects the time at which it matures. Compared to the other plants that she has planted that takes between 10-40 days to mature and to harvest.
