The smaller angle is x, and the larger angle is 3x plus 6, therefore adding x and 3x plus 6 is a straight angle.
3x + 6 + x = 180
4x + 6 = 180
4x = 174
x = 43.5
3(43.5) + 6
3x + 6 = 136.5
The smaller angle is 43.5 degrees and the larger complimentary angle is 136.5 degrees.
