The answer to your question is because Jerusalem has significant religious sights for three different religions Judaism Christianity and Islam as it is the location if many events in these scriptures.

Since Jerusalem is located in Israel, and Israel is God's chosen country, Christianity would be an important factor there, When you hear Jerusalem you should think of Christianity because of where it's located.
Christianity is a really popular religion because of how a lot of it lines up and makes sense (although many others make sense too) but there are many scrolls and other remarkable places that the Bible talks about which backs up as proof.
