the item at the store would be a better deal because 12+10=22 and 22 is greater than 20 therefore making it so that the one at the store is cheaper.

If there is no issue with walking to the store, it would be cheaper to purchase the item within walking distance because it is $20 verse paying $12 for an item online and $10 in shipping. That makes the item online cost $22 which is more expensive.
